摘要：A technique is provided for providing total flexibility of control of any desiredoperation within an environment where personnel work, such as an office suite (1). The
location of transponders (14, 15, 17) is determined by a location system (9-13). A userarbitrarily selects a convenient region (23, 24, 25) for controlling an operation and thelocation system (9-13) registers this in a memory (32). The location system (9-13) thendetermines the position of each transducer (17) and, when a transducer (17) is within oneof the selected regions (23, 24, 25), the location system (9-13) responds by controllingthe operation. For example, a region (23) may be selected entirely arbitrarily so as tocontrol room lighting (7, 8).
